Molson Coors (NYSE:TAP) is expected to report Q3 earnings on Wednesday, November 3 with a conference call scheduled for 11:00 am ET.
Analysts are looking for EPS of $1.14 on revenue of $880.36M. The consensus range is $1.05-$1.19 for EPS, and $863.9M-$902.51M for revenue, according to First Call. The company reported positive Q2 results, beating EPS estimates and revenue expectations. It had, however, reported that beer volume was down in Q2. Analysts expect gains for Molson Coors as the U.S. beer market further recovers.
Barrons.com reported at least one analyst believes the company would make a nice acquisition for a larger brewer. In the past quarter, Molson Coors had been focusing on emerging markets abroad to woo new drinkers to its brand. The company had been selected as the distributor for Modelo Brands in the U.K. and Japan, effective January 2011. It also finalized an agreement to buy a 51% controlling interest in a joint venture with Hebei Si'hai Beer in China.
