Cramer's Lightning Round - One Giant Leap Backwards for Mannkind (2/11/11)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday February 11.

Bullish Calls

Novo Nordisk (NYSE:NVO): (caller said he was heavily-weighted in NVO) " Why not be heavily-weighted? It is one of the few drug stocks making a lot of money...obesity and diabetes franchise. I would bless that. I would stay long."

Finisar (NASDAQ:FNSR): (caller reminded Cramer that he recommended it in 2007 when it was at $3 and now it is $40.90) "You recommend something at $3 and it goes that high, you should think twice. However, there is a semiconductor bull market, and I think that one is not done."

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Verizon (NYSE:VZ): "I love Apple...lately it has been doggy because people think it is not selling enough. We had the CFO of Verizon on last night, and he told us the sales are good...don't you believe the CFO who has the panoply of numbers? Therefore I like them...I am a buyer of Apple here."

Airgas (ARG): "Orders are in, and the numbers are going to be great. This is a very fast grower. I think it deserves to be at $80. I think you should hold onto Airgas"

Bearish Calls:

Mannkind (NASDAQ:MNKD): "If only Mannkind would work on that kind of diabetes drug (i.e. like Novo Nordisk) or it wouldn't be at $3. Oh, that is a nasty one."
