A stock that held its own last week is Orckit Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: ORCT). The reason for this could be the announcement by Orckit's subsidiary, Corrigent Systems, that it would unveil its new CM-4000 Packet Transport Switch on March 26 at the C5 World Forum For Networks & Technologies in Milan.
The CM-4000 is a packet-based transport system that converges data and circuit traffic onto a single platform with an architecture that supports any topology at incremental data rates up to 100Gbps. I believe that this is the system that will bring big orders rolling in for Corrigent from mega customers before the year is through.
