Cramer's Lightning Round - Keep Taking The Heat In Annaly (1/6/12)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday January 6.

Bullish Calls:

Annaly Capital Management (NYSE:NLY): "I take a lot of heat, people asking me why it hasn't gone up. It has a great yield, a great return. I want to own the stock."

Energy Transfer Partners (NYSE:ETP): "I feel safer in ETP than I do in BreitBurn."

Nordic American Tankers (NYSE:NAT): "... that is oil and that is better (than NM). I have seen the day rates go up a lot for that one."

Public Service Enterprise Group (NYSE:PEG): "... that stock has done well... it is up 6% year over year. It has a good dividend... it is safe."

Bearish Calls

BreitBurn Energy Partners (BBEP): "I prefer ETP."

Darden (NYSE:DRI): "I read a good report from Goldman Sachs saying Olive Garden could turn this year. Hold the stock. I don't want to buy it because we haven't seen the turn yet."

Navios Maritime (NYSE:NM): "I have seen the day rates not going up. I prefer NAT."

Transocean (NYSE:RIG): "Keep looking... don't pull the trigger. They had the CFO leave and they are doing a big secondary... I would stay away."

Vail Resorts (NYSE:MTN): "Way too risky. We don't want that... we want dividend protection."
