Avoid Spark Networks: Deteriorating Business Model And Long-Term Profitable Growth Is Unlikely

A few years ago, I was looking to invest in the British dating company Cupid Plc. Ultimately, I pursued other opportunities, but back then, I thought the business model was quite appealing. Fast forward a few years and Cupid Plc is a shell of its former self and its dating assets were sold off at a fraction of what they were previously valued at. John Hempton also took a hilarious swing at the company (now retracted) with what is probably the funniest dating profile in history. Specifically, he created a profile posing as a fat, lazy man with untreated gonorrhea who wants a woman to support him financially which generated considerable interest from age appropriate women wanting to meet him.
