Dec. 11, 2017 6:55 AM ETX, NUE, GM, AXON, ALKS, S, TMUS, VZ, IPGP

Summary

  • The negative news on Alkermes' drug Vivitrol is a mistake.
  • Axon Enterprise is a buy.
  • Nucor is better than US Steel.

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Friday, December 8.

Bullish Calls

Axon Enterprise (AAXN): Cramer likes the stock. It was formerly Taser.

Alkermes (ALKS): "I'm partial to Alkermes. I think that Richard Pops has done a good job. There's periodically some negative press on their drug Vivitrol. I think that's a mistake. It's really good."

Sprint (S): Sprint is a long-term buy; T-Mobile (TMUS) is short-term. Buy Verizon (VZ) for the income.

Bearish Calls

US Steel (X): Why buy US Steel when Nucor (NUE) is breaking out and is a better infrastructure play?

General Motors (GM): Cramer doesn't like auto stocks at current levels.

IPG Photonics Corporation (IPGP): The stock is up 100% and it's time to book partial profits.
