  • The current bull market should last through 2021.
  • Why I'm not worried about a correction until the S&P breaks 4000.
  • Why gold is ready to break out and will do so with power.
  • Bitcoin expected to break $30,000 before 2018 is over.
  • Why sentiment beats fundamentals and technicals every time.

Avi Gilburt is a leading contributor on Seeking Alpha and one of 21 Seeking Alpha Contributors participating in the January 2018 DIY Investing Summit (Jan. 22-26).

His interview is titled "I expect an explosive move in gold reaching all-time highs in 2018." I asked Avi what his long-term views are on gold (NYSEARCA:GLD). According to his Elliott Wave analysis, Avi believes we are on the cusp of a decades long bull market for gold.

How big of a deal could this be? He compares it to a similar setup and bull market prediction that was made on the Dow in the 1940s. At the time, the Dow was around 100 and today it is over 26,000. He had hoped the bull move would have materialized more in 2017. Even so, his bullish sentiment remains strong. He reminds us that the more energy a chart builds, the more energy it generates for an eventual breakout. The breakout he anticipates could lead to gold testing all-time highs before year-end.
