Open interest in the May $17.5 calls doubled last week to 18k contracts. Someone expecting a pop?

It's already been popping and those calls are a deal. Costs about 30 cents a share to catch all the upside of UNIT for the next few weeks. In the last week, UNIT gained $1.60 so any more of that would be cha ching.
Unfortunately, I have those calls which I bought for $1.82 each instead of 90 cents so I'm just hoping to break even and had basically written them off until this recent runup

I sold a bunch a while ago. Looks like my shares are going to get called away.

Why not just buy your calls back for 90 cents and keep your shares? You can do that tomorrow before Unit rises any higher (like after WIN reports or court gets settled)

i recommend every investor in uniti read these slides but more importantly go to pages 27-30 and read the definitions. Learning the basic vocabulary is really important to understanding this company.

Are the recent Telco merger talks a reason to be concerned for the 55% of revenue from towers? The margins could compress from a lack of competition.
