Summary

Defensive sectors with attractive dividends, like utilities, consumer staples and REITs, have performed very well in this environment along with the information technology sector.

We expect volatility to return as the market digests its recent gains and trade talks with China as well as Mexico and Canada continue to dominate the headlines.

Investors are seeking an immediate resolution to the US/China trade talks, but more likely the discussions will take months before acceptable agreements are reached.
