Biden told an NRA Republican operative, at a rally in Michigan, that the guy was full of sh** when he accused Joe of trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment. Good for Joe. Republicans should cheer on a guy who tells it like it is and tells the truth about the NRA tool being a horse's "hind end". I wonder what Trump would say if a Democratic operative got in his face and asked him if he had stopped taking aid from Russia. The majority of NRA members would like universal background checks and are not wild about large capacity magazines.

Trump would probably tell Jim Acosta to get lost?
t
No, he would probably scream, "Get him outta here, Get him out!" If you guys think Biden is a loose cannon, you have not paid attention for the past three years.

Do you have any proof of this ridiculous claim?

Are the thousands of tests given by private labs going to be reported quickly to the CDC? Sec. Azar says they don't report to the CDC as a matter of course. I hope they do soon. The government cannot get ahead of the curve on this if data is being withheld for whatever reason.

Market trying to find some footing and fluctuating in a 1000 pt range from 900 up to 100 down. Currently up about 400. I think it is too early to do more than perhaps nibble at the edges for some bargains. I will be more aggressive if we get into the 2600's on the S&P.

Which one of these things is the most lame?

A) Liberals refusing to call President Trump by his actual name and instead referring to him as "45"

B) Republicans defending Trump no matter what he does

C) The US being one of the only developed nations in the world to not provide universal healthcare to it's citizens

D) Nancy Pelosi ripping up President Trump's SOTU speech

Attention to any Democrats that might be on this thread. Joe Biden is NOT electable! Policy substance aside, he has been experiencing significant cognitive decline. This is not a man that you want to run against DJT!

www.youtube.com/...

It should be clear at this point that Sanders is the strongest candidate left standing to go up against DJT and have a legit chance of winning! Don't vote for Joe in the primary! Even if Joe miraculously won the election, he would be in a nursing home before the end of his first term!
t
And a rabid Bernie Bro chimes in with nonsense. If Biden is not electable then neither is Bernie. Frankly, I think golden_holden is a Trump plant because Bernie is who our mentally addled President was preparing to smear.

Bernie still has his commie marbles, but that doesn't mean he is electable.
Biden has lost what few marbles he ever had.
t
Which begs the question, Jack, as to whether or not Trump ever had any. Of course a full release of his college and grad school grades might give us a baseline clue.

Richard Bove, a sell-side bank analyst with several decades of experience who works for Odeon Capital Group, says investors should avoid bank stocks as a group because of the disruption to their business models from low interest rates and evolving technology for products and services that have become commodities.

He detailed all those concerns in a report Feb. 3, well before the S&P 500 Index SPX, -7.59% hit its last record high Feb. 19.

On March 8, after Saudi Arabia announced its oil price cuts and plans to increase production, Bove sent a note to clients expressing particular concern for the big four.

"One might argue that both J.P. Morgan and Citigroup were built on oil," he wrote.

He listed Comerica CMA, -19.68%, KeyCorp KEY, -18.22% and Regions Financial RF, -19.33% as regional banks that "may be hurt."

Aside from the oil-industry risk, Bove reiterated that bank stocks had been performing poorly because of pressure on their net interest margins, increasing loan losses and "most importantly, price deflation across their product mix."

So who's responsible for US COVID-19?

Imagine that...
A group of people who don't believe in science
trying to explain something they don't understand. good grief.
Why are conspiracies weighted with more importance than facts ??

Just imagine how much stronger and better America would be if we could all believe in science.

"Just imagine how much stronger and better America would be if we could all believe in science."

In all seriousness, have you thought about how much better the World would be, if people learned to respect one another along with oneself? Without respect, much of what is negative in this World is allowed to fester and outweigh much of what is good in this World.

Mutual respect is the only way that we will ever learn to advance Society beyond where it is today.
The only thing the Katrina virus-infected fake media/Democrat mob hasn't pulled at this point is arranging for a coronavirus whistleblower, leaking to Adam Schiff and calling for a special prosecutor.

Next thing you know, Whoopi will tell us that Creepy Porn Lawyer and Stormy created the China virus with Russian Facebook ad buyers because Roger Stone didn't want to chase after Lisa Page while buying a dossier at the McCain funeral.
Coronavirus can travel twice as far as official 'safe distance' and stay in air for 30 minutes, Chinese study finds.

Authorities advise people to stay 1-2 meters apart, but researchers found that a bus passenger infected fellow travelers sitting 4.5 meters away.

The scientists behind the research said their investigation also highlighted the importance of wearing face masks because of the length of time it can linger. The coronavirus that causes Covid-19 can linger in the air for at least 30 minutes.

The researchers also found that it can last for days on a surface where respiratory droplets land, raising the risk of transmission if unsuspecting people touch it and then rub their face.

The length of time it lasts on the surface depends on factors such as temperature and the type of surface, for example at around 37C (98F), it can survive for two to three days on glass, fabric, metal, plastic or paper.

Their work was based on a local outbreak case on January 22 during the peak Lunar New Year travel season. A passenger, known as "A", boarded a fully booked long-distance coach and settled down on the second row from the back.

The passenger already felt sick at that point but it was before China had declared the coronavirus outbreak a national crisis, so "A" did not wear a mask, nor did most of the other passengers or the driver on the 48-seat bus.

The security camera footage showed patient "A" did not interact with others throughout the four-hour ride.

But by the time the bus stopped at the next city, the virus had already jumped from the carrier to seven other passengers.

These included not only people sitting relatively close to "patient zero", but also a couple of victims six rows from him – roughly 4.5 metres away.

They all later tested positive, including one passenger who displayed no symptoms of the disease.

After getting off the shuttle bus, the initial carrier got on a minibus and travelled for another hour. The virus jumped to two other passengers, one of whom was also sitting 4.5 metres away from patient "A".

By the time the study was finished in mid February, patient "A" had infected at least 13 people.

The researchers also found that none of those passengers in the two buses who wore face masks were infected.

They said it vindicated the decision to ask people to wear a face mask in public.

"The recent coronavirus-related volatility in the stock market was enough to rattle even the most confident market bull. However, beloved investing guru and Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B) CEO Warren Buffett is always around to deliver his textbook calm, pragmatic advice and reassurance about the long-term outlook for the stock market. In his recent annual interview with CNBC during the Berkshire annual meeting in Omaha, Buffett shared his thoughts on a wide range of topics from stocks to interest rates to value in the market. "

Berkshire has increased its investment in Occidental Petroleum common shares by nearly three times to $780 million in the 4th quarter at an average estimated price of $41 a share. OXY closed today at $12.51, down 52% for the day. Of course he still has the $10 billion in preferred stock he got in facilitating the Anadarko deal, giving him an 8% yield. But even that preferred dividend looks a bit more risky now.

tell me the truth have you guys taken a good hit just yes or no.
Longer term, the coronavirus will benefit the U.S. economy. The virus has demonstrated that President Trump was right all along: outsourcing a huge percentage of our manufacturing capacity to China was dumb. It was especially dumb with regard to pharmaceuticals. But with regard to any non-trinket product, China's low wage rates are at best a dubious trade-off against low productivity, low quality, transportation costs, and unforeseeable disruptions associated with a primitive and autocratic society, like coronavirus. The trend toward bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. was already underway, but it will accelerate and become permanent as a result of the coronavirus. That is a good thing, for us.
There were other countries who were willing to deal. After a plethora of offshore mfg trips for sourcing apparel mfg, my dad used Sri Lanka.

Mafioso style.. China does not deal.

It also demonstrates the huge risks to open borders and transportation.

Oh, okay, so the market doesn't know right. Businesses don't know right. Investors don't know right. The invisible hand lacks opposable digits.

Only President Donald Trump knows right.

So his role, and the role of the government, is to tell businesses where and how to do business. Because government knows better.

Welcome to state socialism and the party of the all-knowing leader. So long to the old Republican Party, the party of free-market capitalism.

So long to conservatism. It ain't your's any longer. So just man up and admit it: you're not a conservative. And be done with it.

Back in November, some people were predicting that on December 9, heads would roll when DOJ IG Horowitz released a report. There were to be major repercussions, arrests, firings, and so forth.

It's now three months after December 9. Whatever happened? I was busy and never had a chance to follow up. Whose heads rolled, who had their door kicked in, who wound up in jail?
If nothing happens soon we need to put G on suicide watch..
His whole sense of being revolves around possible indictments he has told us would for sure happen.

Pinguin,

"Whatever happened? I was busy and never had a chance to follow up. Whose heads rolled, who had their door kicked in, who wound up in jail?"

What happened was IG Horowitz uncovered major FISA application abuses and other irregularities in Obama's investigation of a political opponent..

Then Durham's inquiry turned into a criminal investigation, which has expanded from the DOJ and FBI into the CIA as well.

Investigation is still ongoing.

So who's responsible for US COVID-19?

"Seattle’s Patient Zero Spread Coronavirus Despite Ebola-Style Lockdown

(Bloomberg Businessweek) -- The man who would become Patient Zero for the new coronavirus outbreak in the U.S. appeared to do everything right. He arrived Jan. 19 at an urgent-care clinic in a suburb north of Seattle with a slightly elevated temperature and a cough he’d developed soon after returning four days earlier from a visit with family in Wuhan, China.

The 35-year-old had seen a U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention alert about the virus and decided to get checked. He put on a mask in the waiting room. After learning about his travel, the clinic drew blood and called state and county health officials, who hustled the sample onto an overnight flight to the CDC lab in Atlanta. The patient was told to stay in isolation at home, and health officials checked on him the next morning.

The test came back positive that afternoon, Jan. 20, the first confirmed case in the U.S. By 11 p.m., the patient was in a plastic-enclosed isolation gurney on his way to a biocontainment ward at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington, a two-bed unit developed for the Ebola virus. As his condition worsened, then improved over the next several days, staff wore protective garb that included helmets and face masks. Few even entered the room; a robot equipped with a stethoscope took vitals and had a video screen for doctors to talk to him from afar.

County health officials located more than 60 people who’d come in contact with him, and none developed the virus in the following weeks. By Feb. 21, he was deemed fully recovered. Somehow, someone was missed."

I have a serious question.

Italy now is in total lockdown.

What happens if the United States goes into total lockdown?

Does that mean they will put up signs along the Mexican border saying: "Sorry, the United States is in total lockdown due to the coronavirus."

How do you say that in Spanish?
Is that full circle @Buyandhold 2012 ??

Mexicans are immune to Corona having been exposed to it for decades..

A local school district has announced they're shutting down for a week b/c a parent served as a caretaker to an individual with a presumptive case of the virus. Cheltenham School District in a top heavy blue township will be holding an 'assembly' the following week on health and hygiene .

Thinking on their feet in this newer world of cyber alerts and classrooms.

"CHELTENHAM, PA — Cheltenham School District will be shut down for the rest of the week due to a parent's contact with a coronavirus patient, the district said Monday. It's the second Montgomery County school to announce a closure this week, along with Germantown Academy.

The parent served as a caretaker to an individual with a presumptive case of the virus. The parent and her child have both self-quarantined, the district said in a letter sent to families and staff members Monday.

The decision was made "out of an abundance of caution" after the district consulted with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. It comes as Fort Washington's Germantown Academy announced their own closure through next week due to a student's relative contracting the virus.

There are five known cases of coronavirus in Montgomery County, and ten all told in Pennsylvania. Two are in Lower Merion, one is in Lower Gwynedd, and one is in Worcester. The fifth case involved a King of Prussia cardiologist at a Montgomery County branch of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Both Wissahickon and Methacton school districts have clarified their schools have no connection to these cases, and they are open as usual.

Just like Germantown, all seven of Cheltenham's buildings will undergo a deep clean over the next several days, including special attention to "high touch" areas like door knobs, railings, desktops, student chairs, toilets, soap dispensers, toilets, faucets, sinks, water fountains, paper towel dispensers, light switches, handles, buttons, sanitary receptacles, countertops, lids, and push-bars on doors.

The district's schedule included four unused snow days in the 2019-20 calendar, so the closure will not require any rescheduling before the end of the school year.

Cheltenham will also use the next four days to devise a remote learning plan, should it be necessary to close the campus as the virus continues to spread.

The district will hold an assembly next week for students on proper hygiene and handwashing methods."

That's just the beginning of the hysteria!
t
Proper hygiene is hysteria? Just wait until even one of those people on Air Force One tests positive for the virus if you want to see hysteria. And that may not happen but making fun of a school district's efforts to keep kids safe is irresponsible of you.

Def Leppard is Hysteria.
Although far-left outlets like CNN have been describing the coronavirus as "Wuhan" for weeks, that description is now being described as racist by members of the left-wing fake media crowd.

MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes attacked Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) as "astoundingly gross" for using the term. To which Gosar replied, "Just astoundingly ignorant to have all major media refer to it as #WuhanVirus for months but somehow, today, you've decided that's #racist."

The far-left Media Matters is accusing Fox News and Vice President Mike Pence of "trying to rebrand coronavirus as 'the Wuhan virus.'"

The stupidity, the ignorance behind this is simply astounding, but unfortunately, not at all surprising anymore.

Naming a virus after the location from where it likely originated, using that as a shorthand, goes back decades.

"Wuhan" was first discovered in Wuhan, China.

Ebola was named after a river close to where an outbreak took place in Africa.

Lyme disease was named after a Connecticut town experienced an outbreak in 1975.

The Zika virus was named after a forest in Uganda in 1947, where scientists discovered what it was.

The Marburg virus was first discovered in Marburg, Germany.

The West Nile Virus is what causes West Nile Fever… guess where…

Did you know Legionnaires' disease is named that because the first notable outbreak killed off a bunch of legionnaires in attendance at an American Legion convention in Philadelphia back in 1976?

"Wuhan" is not even a race.

And that anti-science thinking is why Trump won the presidency.
Sanctuary cities ...come here we have experience in these thing.
I forgot a couple of others:

German Measles and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
