Apparently the FTC filed redacted court documents Monday in the Whole Foods (WFMI)/Wild Oats (OATS) case. Except the documents weren't really redacted.
Instead, the documents were word processor docs where the redacted sections containing Whole Foods trade secrets were merely changed to have a black background. You know, to make it look really cool and spy-ish and redacted, like this:
At the end of the new Harry Potter novel, he is taken captive by the FTC.
The trouble is, of course, you can just drag your cursor through the "redacted" area and pick up all the supposedly hidden text. That's bad, bad, bad when you're the FTC and you have been told twice by the District Court to keep this secret stuff under seal, as opposed to having it in an AP story.
