This is the forum for daily political discussion on Seeking Alpha. A new version is published every market day.

Please don't leave political comments on other articles or posts on the site.

The comments below are not regulated with the same rigor as the rest of the site, and this is an 'enter at your own risk' area as discussion can get very heated. If you can't stand the heat... you know what they say...

The one guideline we do still require strict adherence to is refraining from personal attacks on fellow commenters. Regardless of which side of the political divide you find yourself, please be courteous and don't direct abuse at other users.

Academia: CRT is just an obscure and benign legal theory that’s only taught in advanced classes in law school.

Also Academia: If you want a faculty job at our college, you must submit a Diversity Equity Inclusion statement that explains how you will incorporate CRT concepts into your astronomy class.

Neatly summed up.

The announcement that Tesla is moving its headquarters to Texas may not be a surprise, but it confirms trends that California’s progressive gentry simply refuse to acknowledge. Tesla, among the diminishing number of large manufacturers based in the state, joins a growing exodus that includes such tech giants as Oracle and Hewlett Packard, financial firms like Charles Schwab, and a host of high-end engineering and business service companies.

Agriculture is the only industry that can't move, and CA is doing it's best to kill it.

They will cut off the water soon.

@PIRockford NOT!!!...and Tesla needed more room than their existing facility could offer and it can't expand because there is NOWHERE to expand to!!!...NO BIG DEAL!!!...Let Texas give Musk BILLIONS in FREEBIES!!!...LOL
On Friday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill – AB 101- into law that makes it mandatory for high school students to pass “ethnic studies” indoctrination courses as a part of their graduation requirements. The new law makes California the first state in the US to make learning Marxist CRT ideology compulsory for teenage students to graduate.

In addition to every public school in the state, charter schools will also have to follow the new guidelines – Only Private schools are exempt from the new law – Which is very convenient for the Governor, seeing that his 4 children all attend lavish private schools.

The new law provides so much flexibility to the radical local school boards that the liberal LA Times Editorial Board opposed its passage – Even they could see the problem with handing over that kind of unchecked power to Activist educators who view children as pawns for their political goals.
