I read the entire transcript. I see nothing that gives me pause. Lots of energy and momentum, and the partnerships with Google and PayPal appear to be strong future drivers. Who knows, maybe one of these two companies could be a future suitor (speaking from an investor standpoint). The only negative I can see is that a couple of verticals (gaming and education) have been weak (no big surprise), but they are moving back to 2019 levels.

Now the bad news. The charts on this stock has been horrible and the stock sold-off 10%+ on the earnings announcement day. Hard to put a finger on this, although the entire payment space (V, MA, FISV, and even SQ) has been selling off for a while. It seems like the “elephant in the room” must be crypto, but few, if any, want to say that directly. Yeh, crypto is out there, but at this point it strikes me as a pure speculative asset, and not a true “store of value” where you can wake up tomorrow or next week and expect it to be worth the same amount as the day you bought it. Anyway, the “payment” TAM is so massive I’m not sure that all good payment platforms (like GPN, and, yes, even crypto)can’t do very well going forward.
