This is the forum for daily political discussion on Seeking Alpha. A new version is published every market day.

Please don't leave political comments on other articles or posts on the site.

The comments below are not regulated with the same rigor as the rest of the site, and this is an 'enter at your own risk' area as discussion can get very heated. If you can't stand the heat... you know what they say...

The one guideline we do still require strict adherence to is refraining from personal attacks on fellow commenters. Regardless of which side of the political divide you find yourself, please be courteous and don't direct abuse at other users.

We know that "Let's Go Brandon" stands for "F U Biden". Fox News is outraged that there is more anger over this than when Pres. Trump was insulted. So my question is what was a commonly used slogan similar the "Let's Go Brandon" that applied to Pres. Trump that masses of liberals shouted?
t
@tewright2012 I am guessing, from the lack of responses from the Foxites on this board, that there was not one.

Evergrande is building again

"Shares of Hong Kong-listed Chinese property developers rallied Tuesday morning after China Evergrande Group 3333, +6.08% said work had resumed at more than 90% of its stalled residential projects.

Evergrande’s Sunday announcement likely reassured investors, with the stock rising as much as 10% on Tuesday, though it has since pared gains and was last 7.4% higher at HK$1.59. Hong Kong markets were closed Monday for the Boxing Day holiday." --www.marketwatch.com/...

@daustin97222 China shut the poker room down, and most players are oblivious to that which happens next……….

It turned out the Trumps tweets which the party gleefully shared with there National blessings, at the time……Actually taught China youth the entire scam of Communism from birth to prison, and or execution.

Those geniuses who inherited the Nixon/Zhou casino operations from brutally ruthless table games only, type leaders…… Are in so far over their heads, I think it’s funny.

Chinese kids are smart and want to be free.

Why wouldn’t they love Trump?

@Jpokergman Trump need Americans to love him, not other countries' kids. Trump bought some misguided Hong Kong kids, there is no love.
t
@Jpokergman I can think of several reasons but number one would be that Trump is an autocrat by nature and that limits freedom.

Georgia officials find a pro-GOP ballot was cast by a dead voter

According to Donald Trump, 5,000 dead people voted in Georgia's 2020 presidential election. As is too often the case, the former president simply made up the tally and pretended it was true.

Sharon Nelson, a 74-year-old widow, submitted an absentee ballot on behalf of her husband, who died in September 2020, just a couple of months before the election.

Her lawyer conceded that she carried out her late husband's wishes, and voted Republican, though Nelson "now realizes that was not the thing to do."

Why is it the Republicans are so hell-bent on committing voter fraud?

@C. King Alpha Flunkie why you guys do this ?

@C. King Alpha Flunkie why did the dem ATL election officials pull suitcases (on video) out after midnight after telling the GOP spotters to go home? Why did Joe's tally pop up in the middle of the night in key states?

Why did Joe proclaim the DNC had the most extensive voter fraud organization in history? Joe has it together, right? So why did he tell us that?

Old lady assumes her dead husband can vote ---!!TRUMPS FAULT!!!

CBS has censored their own reporter and chief legal correspondent Jan Crawford blasting the media for underreporting the mental health effect of lockdowns on kids.

Crawford’s comments on Sunday’s Face the Nation went viral on social media, but CBS removed them from the actual show when it aired.

When asked what stories she thought the media did not cover properly in 2021, Crawford did not hold back. “It’s the crushing impact that our COVID policies have had on young kids and children. By far the least serious risk for serious illness,” she said, adding “a healthy teenager has a one in a million chance of getting, and dying from COVID, which is way lower than, you know, dying in a car wreck on a road trip.”

“But they have suffered and sacrificed the most, especially kids and underrepresented at risk communities. And now we have the Surgeon General saying there’s a mental health crisis among our kids,” Crawford continued. “The risk of suicide attempts among girls now is up 51% this year, black kids nearly twice as likely as white kids to die by suicide. I mean, school closures, lockdowns, cancellation of sports.”

Newsbusters, who first noticed the censorship, reported “CBS axed Crawford’s comments seconds before they would have aired. As you can see in the transcript and video of how the show aired, White House correspondent Weijia Jiang said “we’ll see” about what happens with Congress in 2022 and Crawford was then set to follow, but Brennan instead went to a commercial break.”

So while Madison Cawthorn was in Russia, he met a man who invited him to a "cross-fit competition".

When Cawthorne arrived, the fake competition was a ruse to introduce him to his now ex-wife, who divorced him after 8 months.

Yeah, nothing suspicious at all.
