Check out COWZ. One of the few diversified ETFs that is still above 200 day ma. So far has been acting very well this year. The only draw back is the higher expense ratio, but the return totally trounces most US ETFs on many timeframes.

Michael, why would this article make its comp to SPHD? i believe your Lead-Lag thesis is SPLV vs SPY during risk-off, no? i think SPLV proved itself quite vulnerable during pandemic drop which i suppose some consider a one-off. nonetheless, SPLV did worse than the index and took way longer to recover. for this more ordinary correction of late, Utilities vs SPY risk-off has worked just fine.

I get that we are trying to reduce risk with this ETF (although the low volatile ETFs proved they wont save you in a market route) but in the end its just another robot stock picking ETF. Not a big fan of portfolios that change every six months...how will you ever participate in a stock that grows for 10 years?.

VTV is a far better option and will accomplish the same hands off without the constant rollover.

@GetRealHere IUS is also a better option. IUS appears to have the best combination of risk adjusted return and low cost with a Sharpe ratio of 1 and an expense ratio of 0.19%.

@GetRealHere I like vtv too. Gives exposure to 'moderately growing' companies, a bit more punch than the most defensive small-caps etfs.
