Cementos Pacasmayo: Monopoly In Northern Peru And Dividend Of +10%

Jan. 28, 2023 5:20 AM ETCementos Pacasmayo S.A.A. (CPAC)4 Comments

Summary

  • Each region of Peru is controlled by a separate cement producer and Cementos Pacasmayo accounts for almost all sales in the northern region.
  • In December, the company paid a $0.54 per ADR extraordinary dividend, thus, bringing total dividend payments over the past six years to $3.49 per ADR.
  • I expect sales in 2023 to be strong thanks to Peru’s $1.6 billion economic recovery plan and there could be another dividend of above $0.50 per ADR.

I do have a history with the city of pacasmayo as a great place to surf.
A cement company is a better deal then a paint company in Perú as many people indeed start construcción and increase little by little.
They will never finish better said not paint in to prevent real estate taxes.
Not sure if this is still the case but that was how it was when i visite Perú many times a year.
I invest in cement companies in south América and have positions in cementos argos and loma negra.
I have pacasmayo on my watchlist together with cemex.
Thanks for bringing this company to our attention.
