Toyota Announces January Y-o-Y Results

Toyota (ADR: TM) announced strong domestic and overseas results for auto production and sales for January.Toyota also provided brief notes and from these we can see for instance Toyota's overseas production (excluding Daihatsu and Hino) increased for the 49th consecutive month due to "increased production in almost all regions and [reached] a record high for the month of January." Also, excluding mini-vehicles (subcompacts), Toyota said it has 46.6% of domestic market share.

SALES IN JAPAN

    - First increase in seven months
    - 46.6% share of market, excluding minivehicles
    - 1,904 units in sales of Lexus vehicles

Daihatsu
    - First increase in two months
    - 33.3% share of the minivehicle market

Hino
    - Fifth consecutive month of increase
    - 35.3 % share of the truck market

    - First increase in seven months
    - 43.1% share of market, including minivehicles

    - Second consecutive month of increase

    - Decrease

    - First increase in six months
