UK versus US online shopping

Reuters reported that the percentage of British consumers buying holiday gifts online this year will rise to 43% from 21% last year. Compare that to the U.S., where the number is expected to be 46% this year versus 31% last year.

Perhaps these numbers corroborate comments from multiple Internet companies that International markets are a bigger growth opportunity than increasing penetration or market share in the U.S.
