Cramer's Lightning Round - Owens Corning Is No Home Depot (10/9/12)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Tuesday October 9.

Bullish Calls:

Home Depot (NYSE:HD): "It is an amazing stock. HD is inexpensive. It got hurt today because Owens Corning blew up (missed earnings). Owens Corning is no Home Depot. I would buy HD under $60."

Dupont (DD): "Is not expensive, has great management and a good yield."

CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL): "Has a terrific yield right now at 7%. The business is good. It has growth."

Bearish Calls:

Owens Corning (NYSE:OC): "Owens Corning is no Home Depot ... it blew up (reported poor earnings)."

Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD): "I don't care what they are getting into. I want you to get out of it. I don't want you to touch that stock. Not now. Not ever."

Illumina (NASDAQ:ILMN): "This is often rumored to be a takeover target. I can't recommend a stock based only on that. I say take half off the table. It got a nice spike on rumors only."

Flotek Industries (NYSE:FTK): "A specialty chemical company. I am not going to recommend that when I have Dupont."

World Wrestling Entertainment (NYSE:WWE): "This stock is not worth owning. It has a yield but no growth. That is not enough for me."

Facebook (NASDAQ:FB): "There are going to be a couple of lockups that will expire. To recommend FB ahead of that is not a good idea, because lower prices beckon."
