I am a student of investing and am mainly interested in building a solid portfolio of dividend growth stocks. I enjoy sharing my thoughts on dividend growth investing and analysis of different companies worth investing in.
Became interested in DGI after reading Bruce Miller's book on Investing for Income Only. Discovered SeekingAlpha, started learning from the community, and began moving investments in my IRAs to dividend-paying stocks.
Danish Dividend Growth Investor (DDGI) since April 20, 2010.
One of my favorite quotes:
"The analogy I have always liked is that it (the stockmarket) is akin to watching a person with a yo-yo walking up the stairs. Everyone focuses on the yo-yo going up and down, while the real story is the consistent movement of the person up the stairs." Tom A. Lewis (Realty Income Corporation)
Born and raised in a small mid-western town. Taught the value of saving and investing though funds were initially limited. Consolidated & converted index portfolios to DGI over the last couple of years. Income is ~50% of required balance to achieve FI, with less than a decade to early retirement. Hope to continue to learn and deploy ideas learned from SA authors.
