Sawasdee K. Chowdhury obtained his Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering & Technology from Imperial College, London in 2008 along with a minor in financial management. He went onto joined the structured finance desk at Deustche Bank, London where he had successfully structured two gas production deals worth USD $ 625 million. His last stint in London was working for the operations and strategy consultancy division of Ernst & Young's energy and mining sector where he delivered a number of deals for super major operators. In 2011, he returned back to Bangladesh and joined Royal Bengal Investment Management Co. Ltd where he assists TIMCO N.V. in managing the Bangladesh Fund (BDAHC BV).
Since 2008, he had taken up Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (currently holds a blue belt) and trained at the Roger Gracie Academy.
