After starting (and finishing) three successful companies in three distinct industries I decided to let others do the driving. In other words, investing has been my sole source of income for many years. While a background in diverse sectors is helpful, as is experience as a businessman, the real trick seems to be becoming as educated as possible. Of course knowledge of markets, economics and psychology is core but a vigorous curiosity about everything else is, in my opinion, critical. History, science, politics, current events, art, pop culture and etc mix to make us who we are. And, the markets are us. So, the information exchange made possible via platforms like Seeking Alpha have made more intelligent investing achievable to players big and small. There are some really smart people that contribute, hopefully I can share a little back. But remember my posts are strictly my opinion and should not be considered investment guidance.

I am very grateful to have been involved in the markets from a very young age. I started out as a futures trader for 13 years (and counting) and now I am also investing in small and microcap companies that offer unique growth opportunities. I also am drawn to opportunities that use options in special cases to mitigate risk and take larger positions.
