Matthew Scott founded Cloud City Ventures in March, 2017. He provides cloud computing and strategic business development expertise to software companies. Matthew is also a Qualified Investor and manages his own private equity fund, Cloud City Partners. Matthew has founded and run cloud and software sales businesses prior to founding Cloud City Ventures. He was the initial North and South American sales leader for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2010 and 2011. He built a highly specialized sales team responsible for the majority of annual sales globally at Amazon Web Services. Matthew created the Named, Mid-Market and Territory sales model still in use by AWS today. He saw an opportunity to grow businesses focused on helping clients and partners achieve success from both a commercial and technical approach. Matthew founded Options I/O Cloud Marketplace in December 2011 and in 2015, Matthew merged Options I/O with DualSpark. Matthew ran worldwide sales and alliances across the major public clouds and ISV/SI/MSP partners for DualSpark. DualSpark was later acquired by Datapipe and Matthew ran public cloud and professional services sales and strategy for Datapipe globally.
