Michael Lee began his career at an early age as a student of technical and economic analysis from his father. John Lee was owner and commodity manager for the family business. His knowledge and regular use of economics relating to futures and commodity markets became a launching pad for Mr. Lee's career. Initially focused on technical factors in relation to underlying fundamentals, Mr. Lee was able to build an understanding of the global investment marketplace. Mr. Lee held an equity trader position with a large investment services firm in 2002 where he developed skills as an investment manager. In 2003 he co-founded an investment management company which diversified into managed futures and foreign exchange. From here, he worked with a private investment management firm as Vice President of Investments with a commission to develop investment strategies, asset allocation models and general practices towards research and analysis for over $300 million in assets under management. He graduated with degrees in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Georgia and has completed several investment valuation courses. Mr. Lee is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals. He currently serves as a senior member of the investment committees for institutional investment companies. Mr. Lee enjoys his time with his two energetic sons in addition to volunteering with various local and international organizations, most recently as a Shelterbox Response Team member where he travels the world to help those in need.
