I write mostly on the Canadian oil and gas energy services industry, with a focus on companies that provide drilling and completion services. I also have an interest in event driven trading to generate consistent cash regardless of the direction of the market. I consider my investing style to be characteristic of a disciplined value investor, and generally invest in predictable and easily understood businesses. My educational background consists of a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Bachelors of Nursing. I started a degree in Accounting, however, I decided to pursue a career in law and will have my JD by 2020. I began learning about the stock market when I was a 12, and have added to my knowledge base over time. I focus most of my learning on accounting and finance, and I tend to avoid reading too much into macroeconomics so that I can spend more time finding relative valuation gaps. I also have a strong interest in behavioral economics, and the legal aspects of investing.
