Mike is currently the Investment Analyst for a major union, and contributes to Seeking Alpha on tech related issues, particularly areas like gaming and virtual reality. He previously covered the technology sector for eight years with Evercore ISI in sell-side equity research, conveying investment strategies to Wall Street institutional investors. While covering tech broadly, Mike specialized in consumer tech, specifically growth areas like video gaming, virtual reality, Internet, social networking, and wearable tech where he's developed deep knowledge. He focused on companies like AAPL, Samsung, FB, GOOG, MSFT, LNKD, TWTR, ATVI, EA, FIT, SNE and several others while developing strong relationships with corporate executives and IR departments, becoming a trusted source of sell-side research on tech companies with readership of thousands of unique institutional investors. He has frequently appeared in national media for his tech expertise, including The New York Times, USA Today, LA Times, Forbes, Investors Business Daily and many others. Mike gained additional sell-side research experience at FBR covering banks, as well as buy-side experience at E*Trade and Raymond James. He has an MBA from Georgetown University, a BS in economics and business administration from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a CFA charterholder. He currently resides outside of Washington, DC with his wife and three children.
