Banker by day, analyst and investor by night. I write about companies that have a sustainable competitive advantage or are being undervalued by the market. Thank you to all my followers and readers.
Top couple hundred no limit Texas hold'em players in the world. The skill overlap for trading is risk management, weighing perceived odds, not being results oriented about short term luck and always being willing to admit you're wrong and change your mind.
I have degrees in accounting and economics and I have done independent research on the market for a solid ~1,800 hours now. Most of my effort now goes into identifying good short positions as this is the more challenging part of the market but also the most valuable. I have begun actively managing a long/shorts portfolio now with 74k of my own money. I aim to be 150% long, 50% short.
My goal with Seeking Alpha is to network. I would like to find other like minded people to work with and/or join an existing fund. At a fund I would like to continue to generate my own trade ideas. The benefit of working together is that I can receive guidance on ways to be more efficient filtering for potential ideas. Then I can further refine these ideas and present them to the group. Ultimately this seems like a team game where more smart minds working together will have the best end result.
