I'm a 20+ year veteran of media and technology businesses, currently in the process of starting an investment advisory firm. I have an MBA and recently passed the CFP™ exam as well as the Series 65 exam. I have long had a passion for research and investing, with a value orientation. While I am not an analyst by training, I am adequately adept in fundamental analysis as well as basics of technical analysis. As someone with a business background I will hopefully bring that experience to bear both in terms of opportunities within my old field, but more importantly with grounding in the realities and challenges facing companies in the never ending race for growth. I plan to focus on specific companies/opportunities with what I'd call mid-level analysis/commentary, without an over-reliance on charts, graphs and tables. In short - presenting ideas, sparking debate and offering insight where I can bring it. Heavily influenced by bottoms up value investors such as Howard Marks, Seth Klarman, Mohnish Pabrai, and yes I'll admit one growth guy, Peter Lynch.
