Patrick was previously global head of marketing for Google Play, Google's app store, where he led the re-branding of Android market to Google play. He was also responsible for customer acquisition, product marketing and was part of the executive team responsible for Play's strategy. Prior to Google Patrick was the Chief Marketing Officer at GetJar (an app discovery platform backed by Accel Partners) where we helped grow the company from 7 - 50 people and secure over $35M in venture funding. Patrick has worked extensively in the mobile games industry as head of marketing in Europe for both glu (NASD: Gluu) mobile and I-play where he was responsible for marketing and PR. Patrick left Google in August of 2013 to pursue his entrepreneurial passions and currently serves on the Advisory boards of Onavo (backed by Sequoia Capital) and Pocketgems (also backed by Sequoia) while also working as a mentor at Yetizen (the games startup accelerator in San Francisco). He speaks Spanish, English, French and Portuguese fluently, has lived in 11 countries and holds an MBA from Insead and a BSFS from Georgetown. Considered a go-to expert in mobile, he has appeared regularly in the press including on CNBC, Pim Fox's "Taking Stock", CBS (local) and has spoken at many conferences including SXSW, CTIA, GDC, Casual Connect and the Mobile Marketing Association forums.
