I'm the founder and CEO of Koyfin which provides investment research tools focused on dashboards and data visualization. You can use Koyfin for free at www.koyfin.com. Prior to starting the company, I was on Wall Street for 15 years. I started my career in Goldman Sachs Research in 2002 trying to figure how to be a stock analyst covering REITs. After a year of mild success, I moved to Portfolio Strategy producing research for portfolio managers to identify attractive opportunities in the market from a sector and thematic perspective. In 2007 and 2008 I worked on a proprietary trading desk in London. In retrospect, this was poorly timed due to a slight kerfuffle within the financial industry. Following that I held strategy and trading roles at Citigroup, Lyxor Asset Management and Tekne Capital. Three years ago, I set out to start a research firm but became frustrated that I needed to pay $25,000 for a Bloomberg. I then pivoted to start Koyfin which is building analytical tools for investors who don’t have access to Bloomberg. In my spare time, I enjoy running on the boardwalk and going to UCB improv shows.
