The head of Dell's (DELL-OLD) server division says his company has been testing ARM-based (NASDAQ:ARMH) servers for over a year, and suggests such hardware could be appealing to power-sensitive customers. The remarks come 4 months after rival H-P (NYSE:HPQ) announced Project Moonshot, which will rely on chips from ARM licensee Calxeda. Intel (NASDAQ:INTC), which currently dominates the server CPU market, is attempting to counter by developing low-power Xeon chips.
