3D Systems (DDD +2.6%) is acquiring Geomagic, a developer of 3D object design, sculpting, and scanning software, for an undisclosed price. Geomagic, whose purchase comes 3 months after 3D bought object scanning/inspection software firm Rapidform, complement 3D's extensive hardware line. The deal is expected to be accretive to EPS.
