Indian Inc Gears Up Against Anti-corruption As Leading Corporates Join Global Alliance

In a move to create the right environment and to clean up the problem of corruption in their businesses, India top biggies, including the likes of Infosys, Wipro, Godrej Industries, Genpact and Bajaj Auto, have joined a global anti-corruption initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

In the last one year, the idea of anti-corruption is fast gaining traction across India Inc and this initiative could put the spotlight on corporate India's role in bribery at a time corruption and rent-seeking dominate the national discourse and an anti-corruption fight sits uppermost on the minds of many Indians.

After their commitment to fight graft, the firms have taken responsibilities to remove out bribery in their organisations and across supply chains, joining the likes of multinational firms such as ABB, Siemens and Rio Tinto in the coalition.
