After Hours Options Trade Filled

|Includes: Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQ)

I had a Sell to Close order (Call Option on QQQ) placed for the DAY. At the close (4PM) the price didn't hit the limit. So I thought I would be staying in the position overnight.

Then at 4:05, my trade went through at my price, which shows higher than the closing price.  How does this happen?

I don't think I'm able to place my own option trades after 4PM, but someone is taking the contract tade after hours, maybe even after watching the "After hours" NASDAQ trades.

Is this fair? Am I missing something? I'm using OptionsXpress.
