Volume spurts in Savita Oil Technologies counter - Miserji Research Team

Timken India, SKS Microfinance, Infosys and BASF India are among the other stocks to see a surge in volumes on BSE today, 12 July 2011.


Savita Oil Technologies clocked volume of 85,000 shares by 13:41 IST on BSE, a 40.65-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 2,000 shares. The stock jumped 12.57% to Rs 665.50.

Timken India notched up volume of 16.27 lakh shares, a 9.50-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.71 lakh shares. The stock rose 7.57% to Rs 253.05.

SKS Microfinance saw volume of 27.98 lakh shares, a 8.55-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 3.27 lakh shares. The stock rose 3.66% to Rs 562.35.

Infosys clocked volume of 5.07 lakh shares, a 8.41-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 60,000 shares. The stock fell 4.95% to Rs 2,774.50 after the company today, 12 July 2011, reported a 5.3% decline in consolidated net profit as per International Financial Reporting Standards at Rs 1722 crore in Q1 June 2011 over Q4 March 2011.

BASF India saw volume of 1.03 lakh shares, a 7.92-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 13,000 shares. The stock advanced 2.45% to Rs 664.80.
