All Investors are searching for the perfect pick. Huge returns in very short time. We take the risk and want to earn the juice...
We love pre FDA picking but sometimes we get the FDA okay and no gains because its still priced.
From my point of view I love David vs. Goliath picks and Zecotek Photonics is that kind of pick.
Zecotek Photonics Inc. (TSX-V: ZMS; OTC: ZMSPF; Frankfurt: W1I) is a leading-edge photonics company developing advanced technology and products: laser systems and component, high-performance crystals, solid-state photo detectors and other imaging and 3D display technologies, for commercial and research applications in the major markets of material processing, bio-science, high-energy and new materials research, multimedia and security industries. Founded in 2003 by Dr. Faouzi Zerrouk, PhD, the company operates three distinct divisions: Laser Systems, Imaging Systems and 3D Display Systems, and labs located in Canada, Korea, Russia, Singapore and U.S.A. The management team is focused on building shareholder value by commercializing over 55 patented and patent pending novel photonic technologies directly and through strategic alliances and joint ventures with leading industry partners such as Beijing Opto-Electronics Technology Co. Ltd. (China) for Zecotek's patented LFS scintillation material, NuCare Medical Systems (South Korea) to integrate a high performance positron emission tomography (PET) medical scanning device, National NanoFab Center (South Korea) for solid-state MAPD photo detectors and Anteryon BV (Netherlands) for a key component of the 3D display screen.
Thesis & Catalyst For Zecotek Photonics (OTCPK:ZMSPF)
Zecotek Photonics sued Saint Gobain (SGO.PA) and Philips (NYSE:PHG) due to patent infringement since 2006. Some research in the www says that the due at the end of the case could be 250 to 500 mil. dollars (compared to the case where Siemens sued Saint Gobain successful). I expect that the trial will start in fall and it seems that Zecotek has good cards to win this case.
The lawyers of Zecotek are well known for successful David vs. Goliath law suits and I think they are working on a success base what is a good indicator that Zecotek (and the investors) has a good chance to win.
In the winning case - this share price will be 10-fold over night.
But what if they lose?
I see no downside potential from this level because all technologies are patented and developed and regarding to whitepapers better than all comparable technologies. They will hit the market anyway in the near future.
For example the photon detector is considered to be used in the next phase of the big hadron collider experiment at CERN because this devices have the radiation hardness others don't have.

Law suit win - 500-1000% gain
Law suit lost - 300-500% gain (from developed technologies license fee)
Both - ????

In 1989, he established the first foreign partnered, private, business oriented photonics research Lab in the Ex-Soviet Union (Novosibirsk, Siberia). He duplicated the same model in three prestigious research institutes in Moscow. Dr. Zerrouk acted as a technology transfer advisor, working closely with the Ministry of Science and Technology during the transition period to the Russian federation. He worked on Research and Development strategies for the new economy with prominent members of the Russian Academy of Science and coordinated many government projects in joint relations between Russia and countries like China, Germany, USA, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Zerrouk was Chairman and CEO of various companies in Europe and Asia.
Dr. Zerrouk is a Canadian citizen. He received his PhD in Theoretical Physics, in 1987 from the University of Sussex, England. Through 1987-1993, he held research and faculty positions at various centers. Amongst them, the Clarendon Laboratory, University of Oxford, England, (Atomic & Laser physics); Siberian Academy of Sciences (TOKAMAK and Laser fusion research); the Institute of Thermal Processes, Moscow (high-power gas dynamic lasers). At the Institute of General Physics, Moscow, Dr. Zerrouk worked with the group of the Nobel Laureate Academician Prokhorov where he co-developed RGB and UV micro-chipset lasers with large market applications. He also established commercially driven private R&D labs based in Russia, in the fields of crystals & lasers, holographic, 3D displays, new materials, nanostructures, optical networks and communication subsystems. Dr. Zerrouk is the principal founder of Zecotek Holdings technologies. He served as the Executive Chairman, President and CEO since inception.
