John H. Towers And VSR Financial Investigation

In December 2015, John T. Towers (CRD# 700221, Plano, Texas) was permanently barred from the securities industry by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

According to his FINRA Broker Report, John Towers worked in VSR Financial's Plano, Texas office from June 2002 until December 2013. At that time, Towers was suspended from the securities industry by FINRA for allegedly recommending that a married couple invest in high-risk private placements and real estate investment trusts.

According to his FINRA BrokerCheck, John Towers has forty customer complaints since he's been registered in the industry. The most recent customer disputes include the following allegations:

-Unsuitable investment and use of consolidated statements.

-Unsuitable investments, use of consolidated statements, misrepresentation, fraud

-Unsuitable investments, common law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and negligence.
