Noreco Spuds Verdande Wildcat In Norwegian Sea

Noreco has commenced drilling the wildcat 6608/10-16, targeting the Verdande prospect in PL484, Norwegian Sea. The well is being drilled by the rig Bredford Dolphin and is likely to take 68-81 days.

The main objective is to find hydrocarbons in sandstones of Jurassic age.

PL484 ownership: Noreco (30%, operator), Dana Petroleum (30%), Explora Petroleum (30%) and E.ON (10%).

In Feb-2014, Norway's National Petroleum Directorate announced that it has granted Noreco a drilling permit for the wildcat well 6608/10-16, targeting the Verdande prospect in PL484, Norwegian Sea.
