So...about That Inflation...

After stripping out food & energy prices, inflationary pressures appear non-existent. In fact, year-over-year core PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditures) deflator - the measure closely watched by the FOMC - fell to 1.05%. This is the slowest pace on record [!!] (which goes back to 1960) and should allay any fears of an early QE-exit by the Fed.
