GM To Introduce Self-Driving Electric Cadillac In 2016 ?

|Includes: GM, Tesla, Inc. (TSLA)

Hello reader,

in Week IAA starts in Hannover in Germany, but prior to it, a mini-IAA called Automechanika takes starting today, the hot discussion item was obviously the Acquisition of TRW Automotive by ZF Friedrichshafen.

TRW is a worldwide leader in self driving cars. During discussion round, one of the speakers i assume knows what he is talking about, said that he was excited for the first car to implement the new technology to be Cadillac (the one Mary Barry hinted at for 2016), which would also be electric, so if we connect the dots, the rumored GM 200 Miles vehicle could be a Cadillac, not Chevrolet, that would also better justify the price.

So maybe like GM Bolt and Cadi ELR, but Cadi first out this time?

Maybe by electric he meant it will the new ELR based on Bolt 2 design, but its still exciting.

200 Miles electric partially self driving Cadillac may steal Teslas mojo and would also strengthen the brand away from old farts cart image, kind of halo car like I8 for BMW, for more affordable.

Maybe its what caused Mr. Jones to lower his voice?

Exciting times for Electric cars!
