WWE announced this past week that the Executive Vice President of its WWE Studios segment, Michael Pavone, resigned to 'pursue other interests'. Coming off a string of high profile movie flops ('The Chaperone' and 'That's What I Am') as well as the mediocre re-launch of WWE's Tough Enough it is unsurprising that WWE decided to push him out. As a WWE shareholder, I believe in accountability for failure and however disappointing it may be to see strong talent and a solid distribution base go to waste due to mismanagement, bringing in new management to shore up operational failures is the best way to move forward. In the field of wrestling entertainment, creative thought matters. So far WWE Studios has failed to inspire.
