Leave Of Absence From Seeking Alpha

To everyone that reads this blog post,

I plan to leave Seeking Alpha for a 3 month leave of absence. I have found Seeking Alpha is now causing me to be distracted rather than focused on my investments. And that's not good. I feel some of these articles are degenerating into he said / she said rather than careful deliberation and articulation of pros and cons of an investment.

Currently I am structuring my portfolio like this:

30% Gilead

20% Apple

30% Cash

20% Max in speculative stocks such as GTAT and PXLW.

I am switching from buying shares to buying long dated options (2015 or 2016 Leaps) to take advantage of the leverage and reduced capital requirements. I am also selling calls 8% higher or next strike higher than the current price for next month's expiration.

I am looking into FDX and IEP.

I plan to return at the beginning of 2015. I wish you all the best!
