June 2017 Sales For General Motors: Down 4.7%

|Includes: General Motors Company (GM)

Buick 16.4% growth driven by Envision. Cadillac down 11.8% because of legacy sedans.

Chevrolet a mixed bag given that the Silverado finally showed growth, and SUVs were up.

GMC a major problem this month, with everything down except for Acadia and the old commercial van.

Chevrolet Bolt EV had its best month ever at 1,642 sales.

General Motors reported U.S. June 2017 month sales:

Strong Lineup of Crossovers and Utilities Drove GM's U.S. June Sales

Down 4.7% overall, but huge differences between the brands:

Buick:  Up 16.4%

Cadillac:  Down 11.8%

Chevrolet:  Down 6.4%

GMC:  Down 3.6%

Buick:  Sales increase driven 100% by the Envision model.

Cadillac:  Legacy sedans ATS, CTS and XTS all down.  SUVs all up.

Chevrolet:  Cars such as Malibu, Cruze and Sonic were down.  The Bolt EV sold 1,642 units, its best month since launch.  It’s clearly taking sales from Tesla.  GM’s best-selling vehicle, the Chevrolet Silverado, was up 1.7%.

GMC:  Unlike Chevrolet, all SUVs except Acadia were down.  The Sierra was also down 8.3%.  Basically, nothing good at GMC except Acadia and the old commercial van.
