Waytronx, waytronx.com – developers of innovative thermal management technologies like the WayCool™ hybrid mesh architecture, reported today that the world renowned electrical and mechanical certifier BASEEFA, has delivered final safety certification for the Company’s revolutionary GasPT2 natural gas metering device.

The first two purchase orders for the device were also announced, one from National Grid in the UK and the other from KEMA/Gasunie in the Netherlands.

President and CEO of WYNX, William Clough, called reception of the certification and initial purchase orders for the device a major milestone for both the Company and the technology.

Clough indicated that the certification is a clear validation of the technology and represents the last necessary step before full commercialization of the revolutionary GasPT2 device.

The natural gas industry recognizes BASEEFA as the ‘international gold standard’ when it comes to such certification, this announcement will open many doors for WYNX within the industry and giants like Chevron, Bechtel and GE are already in talks.

Similarly the UK-based British Gas, SNAM Rete in Italy and BOTAŞ in Turkey have all expressed interest.

BASEEFA has unparalleled credibility when it comes to regulating the safety of devices to be utilized in potentially explosive situations and has been doing research for over 80 years:

• Accredited Product Certification Body and Test Laboratory – UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Services)
• ATEX (UK standard) Notified Body appointed by the UK Government
• IECEx (global standard) Approved Certification Body and Test Laboratory

The GasPT2 certification conforms to the maximum standards for both ATEX and IECEx and includes the following specific certifications:

• CO₂ GasPT2 Probe (IECEx No. BAS 10.0093/ATEX No. 0176)
• GasPT2 Safety Interface (IECEx No. BAS 10.0084/ATEX No. 0157)
• GasPT Probe (Supplemental ATEX No. 0139X/3)

Also participating in the announcement via proxy, were wholly-owned WYNX subsidiaries CUI Inc., cui.com – 21-year veteran electromechanical components and industrial controls manufacturer for the OEM market (acquired, May 2008), its Japanese subsidiary CUI-Japan and the 49% owned Japanese subsidiary Comex Electronics.
