All American Pet Company announced it has become a global brand through its presence on Amazon, the world's largest online retailer.
The company's NutraBars, made in the United States, are now available to more than 80 million dogs throughout the world. Touted by the company as the first true food protein bars for dogs, 4-ounce NutraBars contain 27 percent protein and are equal to 8 ounces of dry dog food. "The bowl is out and the bar is in," said AAPT President Lisa Bershan.
Amazon began merchandising the company's three NutraBar SKUs (Original, Low-Fat and Senior) on its domestic site, but shoppers throughout the world soon began purchasing the product and having it shipped internationally through AmazonGlobal. AAPT is now on its fourth reorder for Amazon and is surprised and pleased by the product's reception outside the U.S.
AAPT previously announced in April 2013 that retail giant Walmart had officially posted its NutraBars to walmart.com and began offering NutraBars in-store. As of July 1, the company met its six-month initial trial period with Walmart and continues receiving orders from that company. AAPT further announces that in September 2013, Walmart will begin merchandising its CHEWIES treats, as well.
