HWI Global, Inc. has developed a volume of products and services that assist their clients in reducing the risk of contamination by designing environments that create the ideal state for sterile production -exposed surface materials and finishes that are easy to clean. The Company offers Clean Room Consultation & Project Planning; Design & Engineering Services; Design/Build Construction & Project Management; Clean Room Certifications & Preventive Maintenance, as well as Custom Accessories. Their products include Bio-Gard™ PVC wall laminate; Modular wall systems (hard/soft wall, stand alone, mobile, and more), aseptic high-density polyethylene shelving, and high pharma systems with epoxy floors, among other product offerings.

In mid-August, HWI Global, Inc. announced that they are scheduled to begin installation of their proprietary Bio-Gard™ Germicidal Wall lamination at West Virginia University’s White Hall Clean Room Laboratories. The Company’s construction project is an ongoing part of the University’s Department of Physics Relocation plan. HWI’s Bio-Gard™ was chosen for this project by IKM Architects, an architectural firm, and entered into a subcontract with Jendoco Construction, a general construction firm, both based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Deric Haddad, CEO, HWI Global, Inc. commented, “This is a very specialized installation for a high-profile and progressive institution. A collection of clean room environments, the project includes a Class 100 Photolithography Lab, a Class 1000 Wet Process Lab, a Class 10,000 Dry Process Lab, and a large Class 100,000 Growth Area Lab. HWI will laminate the newly-constructed drywall with our seamless, heat-welded proprietary Bio-Gard™ creating a homogenous and aseptic finish easily sterilized to reduce the risk of microbial contamination.”
