Axion International Holdings, Inc. (AXIH) Begins New Worldwide Marketing Campaign to Brand Composite Rail Ties as “EcoTrax”

Axion International Holdings, Inc., a leading producer of industrial building products and railroad ties made from 100% recycled plastic and plastic composites, today announced a new name ECOTRAX™ for its 12 year old eco-friendly, longer lasting, and climate adapting railroad ties. ECOTRAX™ rail ties have proven to withstand the elements, resist rust, and do not absorb moisture, crumble, splinter or leach chemicals into the environment. Furthermore, Axion’s ECOTRAX™ composite railroad ties use a patented formula that meet and exceed all AREMA standards while holding spikes, maintaining gauge and requiring no special tools for installation.

The Company markets its structural products to the railroad industry, military, and industrial engineering and contracting firms. As part of the marketing branding campaign for “EcoTrax”, Axion will not only start a direct mail campaign but will also participate in the American Public Transportation Associations’ (APTA) EXPO in early October. This trade show will allow Axion to demonstrate its product at the largest public transportation showcase in the United States.
