Platinum Studios, Inc., an innovative entertainment company that controls one of the largest international libraries of comic book characters from all over the world, which it adapts for all forms of media including print, film, online, mobile/wireless, gaming, and merchandising, announced today that it has received a script development order from Syfy for a drama script of “Metadocs.” Syfy is developing the script with a host of other Hollywood household names including co-producing partners, NBC Studios division, Universal Cable Productions (“Psych” and “In Plain Sight”), Fremantle Media (of “American Idol” and “The Price is Right” fame) and Platinum Studios. The production will be written by Michael Chernuchin (“Law and Order” and “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”).

“Metadocs,” is based on the Antarctic Press comic book series created by Joe Dunn and Rod Espinoza that is controlled by Platinum Studios. The story chronicles a team of specialists that treat portions of the population that possess extraordinary abilities. Syfy is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies. The relationship with Syfy further strengthens the list of high-profile people and companies that Platinum is currently working with including Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, Dreamworks, Universal Pictures, Imagine Entertainment, David Heyman (“Harry Potter” producer),Kurtzman/Orci (writers of “Transformers” and “Star Trek” franchise), Marc Silvestri (“Witchblade” and “Wanted” executive producer) and James Wan (“Nighfall” and “Saw” director) and a feature film with Sony Pictures Animation.
