Genesis Electronics Group, Inc. (GEGI.OB) Explores Development of Solar Rechargeable Batteries

Genesis Electronics Group Inc. is focused on both current state-of-the-art technologies and those that are rapidly emerging with great potential to make a significant impact on society.

One such technology is solar energy. The company announced today that it has initiated steps for the development of solar rechargeable batteries in commonly used standard sizes such as AA, AAA, C, D, 9V. In addition, Genesis Electronics will also develop as well other specialized sizes that have the potential for use by the military and scientific devices.

These batteries, unlike other rechargeable batteries in the market, will not be dependent on a charging unit that needs to be plugged in. The batteries themselves would be rechargeable when exposed to the sun, thus eliminating the need to throw away ‘dead’ batteries. Genesis Electronics is already producing a solar-powered charger for the iPhone called the SunBlazer, which it expects to bring to market soon.

The potential for stand-alone solar rechargeable batteries is staggering and Genesis Electronics is well-placed to capitalize on the market. The news reported today by the company has been well received by the stock market. Shares in Genesis Electronics are currently trading at $0.07 a share, up $0.02 a share or 40%.
