The company said that in the second quarter sales were higher than consensus estimates, up 6.5% to $19.49bn. They were helped by a strong end to the quarter and increases in pharmacy prescriptions and order sizes.
The company's been on the Active Team since July last year with its shares now up 46% since then. During that time WAG's shares have moved in text book fashion and after yesterdays jump up are likely to be on the Active Team for some time to come.
